2015 Preschool Holiday Gift Guide
Shopping for preschoolers is my favorite. There are just so many awesome gift ideas and they get so excited about every. single. one. We’ve pulled together some of our favorite preschool toys in a range of prices so you should find something for any preschooler in this list.
True story. When my oldest son was a baby I was at a playgroup and the moms were complaining about toy clutter. At the time, buying toys was so much fun to me so I couldn’t imagine every being sick of toys. 5 kids later and my house is filled with toys. I understand! I still love finding great toys but I’m very picky about what I bring into my home now so, as you go through this list, know that I thought long and hard about each item on here.
Step2 2-Story Playhouse
New from Step2 is this 2-story Playhouse. As a mom of 6, I love the idea of having a bit more play space. We have a smaller playhouse and even my tiny twins have trouble playing together inside of it so this great.
The neutral colors blend in with your backyard and the side just adds an extra element of fun. This is available exclusively at Toys R Us through the end of the year and then you’ll start seeing in other stores.

Sneaky Snacky Squirel Game
This is my all-time favorite game for preschoolers. It’s simple enough that preschoolers can play without getting frustrated but complex enough to teach important skills. As a bonus, the styling of this game is super cute. We’ve owned this game for years and still enjoy it all the time.

Rainbow Scratch Paper
Preschoolers love to express themselves . . . my preschooler expresses herself all over my walls. This rainbow scratch paper is perfect for a mess-free art project and the end result is so much fun!
These would be great to keep in a stash of quiet time activities when you need something to entertain your preschooler on a rainy day (or while you get some work done).

Plan Toys Creative Play House
I got to check this cute play house out in person at this year’s ABC Kid’s Expo and I was impressed with what a clever design it has! This is a modular play house so kids can build and create their own dream house then change it up whenever they want to. The styling on this is fantastic and very modern. Plan Toys is one of my favorites and this is definitely a piece that will last through several kids.

Plan Toys Fairy Tale Blocks
This is another one of my favorites from Plan Toys. My daughter has this set and it’s been one of her favorites for a while. These blocks just have so much character and the possibilities for play are endless. I love that kids can use this for building play and pretend play so you really get a lot of use out of this toy and, like everything else from Plan Toys, the quality is fantastic.

Green Toys Build-a-Bouquet
This is one of my all-time favorite toys for preschoolers. When I need a gift to buy, this is usually what I grab. This floral themed toy is a fun variation on a classic peg toy and it is fantastic for helping kids practice their fine motor skills. This toy has gotten HEAVY use in my house over the last several years and I’m seriously considering buying another set so my girls can all play together.

Stomp Rocket Jr.
For preschoolers who love to jump on things (and want a fun cause and effect lesson) a Stomp Rocket Jr. is the perfect toy. My boys have loved these and my daughter is now hitting the age where she would really get into them too. We used to take this to the park or the beach all the time and it kept my kids busy for hours. They loved playing with this with groups of friends so it was a great toy for a group too.

Kiwi Crate
I love the idea of giving subscription boxes as gifts. It’s like getting a gift every single month. For a Christmas gift, make sure and sign up for the first box early so you have something to wrap up and put under the tree. Kiwi Crate is a fun activity box and they make one just for kids ages 3-4. They really emphasize creative expression and exploration. This is a lifesaver for busy moms!

Cloud b Stay Asleep Buddy
For kids who are early risers, the new Cloud b Stay Asleep Buddy is the perfect gift (for mom and dad). This cute little hedgehog has a soothing nightlight, soft bedtime music, and it helps kids learn when it is too early to go to bed by changing colors when it’s time to wake up. It has a built-in motion sensor too so if the child wakes up in the middle of the night and picks it up, the lullaby music begins to play again. I was so impressed with this when I saw it at the ABC Kids Expo. My daughter may be finding one of these under the tree . . .
We love shares!
