Are you looking for the Best RC Minion Toys this holiday season? My kids are obsessed with Despicable Me 3 (I swear it is running on a loop at my house) and their Christmas wish-list is filled with Minion toys. My kids go crazy for anything robotic. With my older boys especially, 9 times out of 10 if it doesn’t have batteries they aren’t interested.
WowWee has been a huge hit in our home in the past so I was excited to see these newly released Despicable Me 3 Minion toys. They have some fun features that fans of the movies will absolutely love and some phenomenal RC features that any robotics fan will enjoy.
We had the chance to check out both the Minion MiP Turbo Dave and the Mini Minion MiP Turbo Dave and they were so much fun! My kids had to steal them away from me because I was just as amused as they were.
Our favorite was the Minion MiP Turbo Dave. Straight out of Gru’s lair, this motion-detecting, self-balancing henchman is ready to play. Get up to all kinds of mischief with your very own Minion MiP Turbo Dave from WowWee. Packed with fun and games, this self-balancing robot speaks MinioneseTM the official Minion language, responds to clapping and hand gestures, and can be controlled from the Turbodave app on your compatible smartphone or tablet! He even has his own Fart Blaster! My kids think that is hilarious. I’ve had to stop them from running around the house with it and pretending to shoot it at each other.
The setup on both of these was really straight-forward. They came with a Quick Start guide (complete with pictures) so we could get started playing right away. We learned really fast that this toy is full of personality. This is the only full experience robotic Minion that brings the Minion world to life.
There are two options for play: App pairing for robotic programming and AR experience through game play
My kids thought the app was a blast but I was really entertained by the non-app play options. Of course, my kids eventually got tired of me laying Dave on his back and making him cry (does that make me a bad person) so they swiped him back so they could experiment with some of the play options built into the app.
What I really love about both of these is that they offer so many different ways to play. My kids kept coming up with new ways to use them so it never got old.
There’s definitely still a lot of play-time in our future with these.
