There’s something so refreshing about fruit infused water. This Blackberry Mint Sparkling Water is perfect for entertaining or simply as a way to make drinking water a little more exciting. There’s no added sugar in this (although you could certainly sweeten it up a bit with a bit of liquid stevia or sugar if you wanted) and the flavor in this is amazing!
This drink is super simple to make. We used Canada Dry Sparkling Seltzer Water in this. This is one of my husband’s favorites because he loves soda so this gives him the carbonation no added sugar, sodium, or calories. You can flavor it anyway you want and you can come up with some amazing flavor combinations that are perfect for entertaining.
We found Canada Dry Sparkling Seltzer Water at our local Ralph’s store. They also have Mandrin Orange and Lemon Lime flavored seltzer water and those would be really fun in a holiday drink too.
Ingredients
- 5-6 blackberries
- 3-4 mint leaves, torn
- Optional: a few drops of peppermint extract
- Canada Dry Sparkling Seltzer Water
Preparation
One of the things I love about this is that it’s just as easy to make one glass as it is to make a full pitcher so you can really adapt it to whatever you need.
Put 5-6 blackberries in the bottom of your glass. Smash them with a wooden spoon or whatever you have on hand. I used my little wooden pastry press and it worked perfectly.
Add ice to your glass then fill the glass with Canada Dry Sparkling Seltzer Water. Tear your mint leaves and stir them into the glass. If you like a stronger mint flavor you can use a tiny bit of peppermint extract here too.
You can sweeten this with a bit of liquid stevia/honey/sugar if you’d like. I drank it just as it is but my kids wanted it a bit sweeter.
