Best Blueberry Banana Smoothie
This Blueberry Banana Smoothie is the perfect blend of sweet bananas and antioxidant-rich blueberries for a refreshing and nutritious drink. Whether you’re looking for a quick breakfast or a post-workout snack, this smoothie is packed with flavor and easy to make.
I’m a terrible stress eater . . . and most of the time I reach for sugar. On the plus side, if you show up at my house unannounced at any given time, there WILL be ice-cream. I’m trying to lose the baby weight though so I’m making an effort to cut down on the sugar. I tried cutting it out completely but that was ugly so I’m just going with lowering it for the moment.
This blueberry banana smoothie is so simple to make and it really satisfies your sweet tooth without adding any extra sugar. This is my late-night splurge when I’m trying to stay away from the ice-cream. It lets me snack and get a boost of energy before bed (important when you have twins who don’t believe in sleep) and it satisfies my craving for something sweet. This smoothie has no added sugar and it’s packed full of great nutrients from the bananas and blueberries.

Ingredients
- 3 cups frozen blueberries (more if you’d like a thicker smoothie)
- 3 cups milk or dairy-free milk
- 1 scoop of Clean Simple Eats Vanilla Protein Powder (Use the Code “BusyMommyMedia” to save 10%)
- 1-2 bananas, very ripe
- 3 Tbsp Flax seed
Preparation
You need a good blender for this. I’m obsessed with my Blendtec. I went back and forth for a long time (and tried several cheaper blenders in the meantime) and there’s just nothing that compares with it. I use my Blendtec every single day. It’s honestly probably the most used appliance in my kitchen.
Add the blueberries, milk, and banana to your blender. If you like a thicker smoothie, you can add some extra blueberries (or freeze the bananas you use — that will thicken it up nicely too).
Blend for 2-30 seconds. I just use the “smoothie” button on my blender.
Serve immediately.
This makes a great substitute for some of the less healthy snacks you may be tempted to grab. I love this as a guilt-free late-night snack.

- 3 cups milk or milk substitute. I usually use regular 2% milk in this but I've tried it with coconut milk and that's pretty tasty too.

- 3 Tbsp Flax seed

Perhaps I just didn’t see, it but it would be lovely if you could include how many servings this is designed to be. Obviously not one, but knowing how many servings would make it easier to divide the portion down to one serving.
Thanks!
