LILLEbaby Complete Baby Carrier Review (and Giveaway!)
We always joke that moms need an extra set of hands. It’s true. We really, really do. Some days I dream of having a nanny (and a maid, and a chef . . . ). Babywearing gives me an extra set of hands and lets me keep my baby close so it’s a win-win for everyone. All my babies have loved being worn and it’s been a great way to still manage to get some things done while cuddling with my baby at the same time.
I’ve tried dozens of baby carriers in my almost 12 years as a mom. A few years ago I discovered the line of carriers from LILLEbaby and I packed all my other carriers away. Nothing else compares as far as comfort and functionality and their new Complete carrier took everything to the next level.
LILLEbaby sent me the new Complete Airflow carrier and I’ve been using it with my twins since they were teeny-tiny (no infant insert needed!). The breathable fabric is perfect for our warm San Diego weather but I like to wear my babies around the house too so I love that it doesn’t feel heavy or hot.
The support on this is unbelievable. I’ve had some back issues since having my twins, mostly because I spent so much time on bedrest and lost all my muscles. After my c-section I wasn’t able to wear my babies for the first month or so after their birth and even after that some of the other carriers bothered my back.
Part of what makes the LILLEbaby Complete so amazing is this baby carrier distributes a baby’s weight so well and it also has fantastic lumbar support. My biggest complaint about my formerly favorite baby carrier was that it was padded all over and then had this single strap across my back so it tended to hurt right there. The extra lumbar support on the LILLEbaby distributes that weight across my back and is so much more comfortable.
I really wanted to share a picture of the lumbar support with you until I realized how much back fat I have. Then I decided just to remind you that I had twins and share it anyway because I wanted you to see how much support there is. So ignore my back fat.
I wore my LILLEbaby Complete recently on a 2 hour whale watching tour. The boat was rocking all over the place so I had to be able to stay balanced. At the same time I was trying to prevent my 2 year old from jumping overboard so being able to have my hands-free to take care of her was essential.
The LILLEbaby Complete worked perfectly. My baby fell asleep 20 minutes into our trip and slept comfortably with her head shaded thanks to the sleeping hood the whole time. I was totally comfortable (and no one went overboard).
One of the things that really set this carrier apart for me is that you can adjust the width of the seat for different carry positions. The narrow seat made it much easier to carry my twins for the first several months because they weren’t quite big enough to sit with their legs wrapped around me. The option for a narrow seat also gives you the option of carrying your baby forward facing if your baby wants to turn around for a while.
The LILLEbaby Complete has 6 carrying positions and works for babies 7-45 pounds. I can carry my twins just as easily in it as I can carry my almost 3 year old. I love how easy it is to adjust, not only because I can get the perfect fit but because my husband can use the carrier too and we can get it adjusted for him in seconds. With 3 kids 2 and under someone always wants to be carried so it’s amazing to have an option that’s so versatile and easy to use.

I was able to fix dinner while she napped happily on Mommy. It was wonderful, & I was hooked. I now have several carriers that I use for various occasions, but would love to try this lilebaby!
