Pumpkin Shaped Cinnamon Rolls
With fall in full swing, these Pumpkin Shaped Cinnamon Rolls are the perfect afternoon treat. With a great store-bought shortcut, you’ll have these on the table in no time. These are perfect for entertaining or for a kid-friendly afternoon snack.

I LOVE fall. I never used to get the appeal but now I live in an area that is insanely hot in the summer and we don’t really get much of a winter so I really enjoy when the weather cools down, I can pull out my cardigans, and start making all kinds of delicious fall comfort food (check out these 25 fall casseroles that we absolutely love).
My kids love to bake so while I’m not the best at having a treat ready for them when they come home from school, they are happy to have ingredients on hand so they can help make something.
I’m a huge fan of getting kids involved in the kitchen. I’ve seen learning to cook turn around even my most picky eaters.
These Pumpkin Shaped Cinnamon Rolls are a great introduction to cooking for kids and making them can be a great after school activity.

Pumpkin Shaped Cinnamon Rolls Ingredients
- 8 ct package of cinnamon rolls you can unroll (I used store off-brand, I’ve noticed that Pillsbury are usually all one piece)
- Orange gel food coloring (We like this gel food coloring the best)
- Green gel food coloring
Icing ingredients:
- 2 C. powdered sugar
- 2 tbsp butter, softened to room temperature
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 1-2 tbsp milk
Pumpkin Shaped Cinnamon Rolls Instructions
Preheat the oven to 350 degrees and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
Open the cinnamon rolls and discard the packaging.
Unroll each cinnamon roll about 4-5″ and gently press it near the top so it appears to be a pumpkin shape.

Bake for 14-16 minutes.
While the cinnamon rolls are cooling, combine the ingredients for the icing and separate into two small bowls.
Add a few drops of orange food coloring to one dish and a few drops of green food coloring to the second dish and stir to combine.

Generously frost the cinnamon rolls with the orange and green icing so they look like pumpkins!

*Makes 8 pumpkin cinnamon rolls.
