Quick and Easy Yogurt Parfaits to Start the Morning Right

We are not morning people at my house. There’s definitely no “rise and shining” going on around here.
Or course, we do know that starting the morning off right is so important to helping the rest of the day go smoothly so we make a good solid effort to have a great morning. One of our favorite ways to jump start the morning is with these quick and easy yogurt parfaits using our favorite Yoplait yogurt.
These require almost no prep-work (perfect when you just don’t have it in you in the mornings) and they are so much fun for kids to make on their own.
BONUS: That means you don’t have to make everyone breakfast. Just spread out the ingredients on the counter and let them go to town.
We stock up on several Yoplait fridge packs every time we hit our local Walmart. With 6 kids, we go through A LOT of yogurt so I love that we can stack the fridge packs in there and make sure we have enough for everyone. My kids never complain about eating yogurt, which is good, because they complain about eating just about everything else these days.
We are going through a picky eater phase, especially with my twins. Some days I seriously wonder if they ate anything with any nutritional value. Most of it ends up on the floor (the dog isn’t complaining about that). Having something as a go-to that I know they will eat is a lifesaver, especially since Yoplait gives them 20% of their daily recommended calcium so I’ve at least know I’ve got that covered.
Ingredients
- Yoplait yogurt fridge pack, any flavor
- Fresh fruit, chopped
- Toppings: coconut, granola, nuts, sprinkles, etc.
Instructions
Make your yogurt parfaits in any container you have. We like using little ice cream cups because we call them “breakfast Sunday’s”. It’s all in the presentation. Even my pickiest eaters will go for Sunday’s for breakfast.
Layer your Yoplait yogurt with your sliced fruit and toppings.
For ours, we layered strawberry banana Yoplait with sliced strawberries, sliced bananas, shredded coconut, and coconut granola.
We topped ours with a fresh strawberry to finish the whole thing and they looked (and tasted) amazing. What a great way to start the morning.
