Tech Gift Ideas Everyone will Love
You can’t go wrong with these tech gifts! We have gathered together our favorite tech toys and included something for every budget. If you are looking for a gift that will make the people on your holiday shopping list happy, you won’t have to look any further.
Phillips Hue Lights
Hue lights are light bulbs on steroids. They are smart LED lights that you can control from your smart phone. They change colors, dim, and you can use Siri to control them. We have used these for years and they have so many uses. There are preset color options to help you set the mood or you customize it and set them up exactly the way you want.
They come in a white light only option or color changing lights (which is our favorite).
Amazon Fire
Amazon’s new 7″ Fire tablet is the best bang for your buck.  You definitely can’t beat the price and Fire users have nothing but good things to say about it. The Kindle Fire works well for reading, streaming video, playing games, and has a great selection of apps.
Tile
Do you know someone who just can’t keep track of their keys? Tile is the perfect solution and makes a fun gift idea. Place a Tile on whatever it is you want to keep track of and when you need to find it you can have it beep. Even your non-tecky friends would love this one!
Google Chromecast/ Google Chromecast Audio
Google’s Chromecast is an inexpensive gift ($35) for anyone with a smartphone. Basically it gives you the capability of “casting” wirelessly whatever is on your smartphone to your TV (Chromecast) or speaker (Chromecast Audio).
Circle Camera
Circle camera from Logitech is an internet connected camera that records activity in your home. It can be used as a security camera or simply to make sure you don’t miss babies first steps while you are busy with other things. It will even condense down the key elements of your day to a 60Â second digest called the Daily Brief.
Amazon Echo
Around our house, we have lots of speakers but none have the functionality of the Amazon Echo. With Echo, you simply talk in the same room as the speaker and obeys giving you everything from your favorite music, to your Google Calendar, Audible books, sports scores and your Phillips Hue lights.
Blok iPad Case
One of the biggest problems when you have a tablet, especially if your kids use it at all, is keeping it protected case of a fall. We’ve had several cracked screens over the years. Logitech has created a case designed to protect you iPad where it is the most vulnerable — the corners. I watched an iPad drop 6 feet and not break thanks to the Blok. If your kids are getting tablets under the tree this year, this is an essential gift.
Parrot Mini-Drone
Think drones are cool but don’t want to pay big bucks for a large drone? Parrot has several versions of their mini-drone that’s perfect for smaller areas (or a smaller budget). There are traditional flying drones that carry cargo (Airborne Cargo Drone) and have lights (Airborne Night Drone), ground-based jumping drones with headlights (Jumping Night Drone) and race (Jumping Race Drone) and even a Hydrofoil drone that glides on water.
Logitech Harmony Elite
With little kids, remote controls are always dissappearing into the couch, on the floor and occasionally they even end up in the babies’ cribs (don’t ask me how). More often than not, we find ourselves pulling our iPhones out of our pockets to turn on Netflix on the Apple TV. The Harmony Elite expands smart phone ability to every device in your family room (TV, speakers and even Phillips Hue lights) along with giving us another universal remote to lose.
