If you have a teen who eats a vegan diet, it can be a challenge to find easy meals that teens can prep themselves. If you have a teen who eats a vegan diet, it can be a challenge to find easy meals that teens can prep themselves. When my teen decided to become a vegan, we initially struggled to find quick vegan meals that he enjoyed and could throw together when he needed to prep his own food. These are the easiest vegan meals we’ve found and they are tasty enough that the whole family can enjoy them.

We’ve always been a family who enjoys heavily plant-based meals, but when my teenager decided to become a vegan we discovered that we needed some fresh meal ideas, especially easy vegan meals that my son could prep himself.
My son is a student-athlete and wanted to try a plant-based diet to help his race-day performance. I love plant-based meals but we found that it was kind of a challenge to find easy meals and snacks, especially on those days where we didn’t have much time to cook. My son was surprised at how much more he ate on a plant-based diet so snacking was a huge part of keeping him full during the day. We also found that we needed to have ingredients on hand to make a few staple meals all the time.
I was thrilled to discover Raised & Rooted Nuggets because not only do they taste amazing, but they also have 9 grams of protein!
Nuggets are always a hit with my kids, especially when served with some great dipping sauces and plenty of fresh vegetables. Finding plant-based nuggets that let my vegan teen continue to eat one of his favorite foods and will satisfy his picky siblings is a huge sanity-saver for us at dinner time.

My teens usually take turns cooking, so I definitely prefer when they make things that the whole family can enjoy. It was important to me that we find some plant-based meals that everyone would eat.
I love that these have 33% Less Saturated Fat (Compared to USDA data for White Meat Nuggets). They are a great choice whether you want to fit more plant-based meals into your week or if you have a vegan teen who needs some convenience foods.
I really liked the texture! The non-vegans in my house had no idea that they were plant-based. We cooked them in the air fryer to make them nice and crispy and they really were delicious.

We paired these with a simple honey mustard dipping sauce and plenty of veggies. These make a fantastic after-school snack or as the main course in a plant-based meal!
My son tends to go through phases with sticking to a vegan diet but I love having easy options ready for him when he makes that choice.
Even if you don’t have a vegan in your home, setting aside a few nights a week to serve a plant-based meal has so many health benefits!
