The Easiest Way to Take Prenatal Vitamins

Prenatal vitamins were the bane of my existence during pregnancy.
I knew I needed to take them, especially while pregnant with twins, because those vitamins and minerals are so important. Actually swallowing them was another story though.
I never have any issues swallowing pills unless I am pregnant. When I’m pregnant, forget about it.
I had the hardest time swallowing those huge pills while dealing with severe morning sickness. During several of my pregnancies I simply stopped taking my prenatals completely. It was just too hard to get them down.
I recently discovered Premama’s line of prenatal and postnatal multivitamin supplement mixes for mamas who have trouble swallowing pills.
Premama makes a tasteless powder that you can mix with liquid, so you can easily take your prenatal vitamins. I love that they have folic acid levels that are right on par with most prescription prenatal vitamins and exceed most over the counter brands.
They even include Omega-3 fatty acids and non-constipating iron. I really struggled to get enough iron while pregnant and I found that while there were some powdered vitamins out there, I had trouble finding any that contained iron.
Premama vitamins are so easy to take. You just mix the powder into any flavored beverage. I mixed mine with lemon lime soda because that was my go-to during pregnancy. I’m not usually a huge soda drinker but something about the carbonation made liquid easier to drink for me.
You could even mix them into smoothies. That would be a great way to make sure you are getting the nutrients that you need each morning!
Here are a few of our favorite smoothie recipes you could mix these into:
I love that they come in these convenient little single-serve packets so you can throw them in your purse and have them when you need them . . . or when you actually remember to take your vitamins, which is what typically happened with me.
If I didn’t have my vitamins close at hand when I remembered, I’d never remember to take them.
Premama even has lactation supplements and vanilla caramel digestive chews (that taste amazing) so they’ve got you covered for everything. Buy Premama vitamins Here.
