Kids grow up so fast. It’s fun to see the changes that happen between the beginning of the school year and the end. The first day of school is always an exciting time (and definitely a fun photo opportunity). I love summer but I really love the chance to get back into a routine and start a new school year fresh. My kids are always super excited and have so much fun meeting their new teachers.

I’m not always the best at taking advantage of photo opportunities but big milestones like the first day of school are times when I just can’t pass up the opportunity to pull out my camera. This is one of those photo opportunities that you can never really get back and I love looking back on the photos of my kids on their first day of school. I love and hate seeing how quickly they grow. It’s crazy to me how fast the time goes but having these pictures to look back on make that just a bit easier.

Printable First Day of School Signs

These Printable “First Day of School” signs make such a fun photo prop for documenting the first day of school. We’ve been using these for a few years and love comparing the photos as my kids grow.

We used a clipboard to hold the signs but you could also print them on card stock or put these printables in a frame.

My kids were excited (and a bit nervous) to head off to school today but it was fun to grab some quick photos before they left so we will have them later.
