Are you Getting Enough Omega-3s?
This is a sponsored conversation written by me on behalf of MegaRed®. The opinions and text are all mine.
Do you get enough Omega-3s in your diet? Omega-3s are so important but they are very hard to get from your diet alone. Almost 98% of people don’t get enough Omega-3s. I’ve been adding MegaRed to my vitamin routine to be sure I’m getting the Omega-3s I need because it absorbs 3X better than regular fish oil.
I stay very busy. Working from home full-time while raising 6 kids doesn’t leave much down-time around our house. There are always more things on my to-do list and more small people who need something from me.
There’s definitely no time for me to be run down. Sometimes there’s no getting away from that, but I do the best I can to make sure I’m taking care of my own needs so I can manage all the responsibilities that I carry. For me, that means I’m really into my vitamin routine.
As much as I try, my diet isn’t always the greatest. Mealtime is often rushed at my house and sometimes I grab what I can. I try to make up for that by supplementing with high quality vitamins.
Omega-3s are essential nutrients that your body doesn’t produce on its own, so you need to get them from your diet. When I found out that most people don’t get enough Omega-3s in their diet, I suspected that I was probably in that 93%. I know I feel so much better when I take Omega-3s on a regular basis, but I’d gotten out of the habit of taking it.
I like to take supplements that give me the most impact. MegaRed Omega-3s, found at Walmart, has 2X more Omega-3s than fish oil alone.
Their 500mg of high concentration Fish Oil and high absorption Krill Oil come from fisheries that have been independently certified to the MSC’s standards are are guaranteed for purity and freshness.
What really intrigued me, though, was they use a micro-droplet technology that helps your body absorb 3 times more Omega-3s than regular fish oil. As someone who does not have a lot of time in her schedule and needs things that work really well, I love that.
What are your Omega-3 Levels?
I was given a free test to check my Omega-3 levels. I already suspect that I’ll be low, but I was really curious to see where I was at.
The test was a simple finger-prick test. I’ll have the results back in a few weeks and am really curious to see what information they come back with. I suspect I’ll be a bit more consistent with my vitamin routine after seeing a clear reason why I need to be taking them.

Walmart is hosting a Wellness Day Event on 9/22 from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. (local time). During the event they will be giving away an easy to use Omega-3 Index home test kit. This gives you very detailed results and is a great way to evaluate whether or not you need to be doing more for your health
