Hands-On Fun with Beados
Are you looking for the perfect gift idea that will keep your kids entertained for hours? Beados definitely fits what you are looking for in a great toy!
With Christmas just around the corner, we’ve been on the hunt for exciting toys that let kids really have a hands-on experience. With Beados from Moose Toys kids really have the chance to be creative and design their own unique characters.
We checked out a few sets, including the Beados Scoop ‘n’ Mix playset that has adorable design options to help kids fill their candy cart up with sweet treats.
With temperatures getting cooler, we’ve been spending a lot of time indoors so my daughter loved the chance to spend the afternoon creating.
Our go-to lately with all the craziness that is the holiday season has been the TV so I was excited to direct her attention somewhere else. She was more than happy to play and create next to me while I worked on catching up on my to-do list. Any work at home mom can tell you that a toy that keeps your kids engaged while you get work done is a lifesaver!
The concept behind this toy is simple. Each little bead can be placed on a template to create a picture. When sprayed with water, the beads fuse together and dry so your creation can be permanent.
I loved that the Beados Scoop ‘n’ Mix playset included some pretend play options too with cute little lollipop holders and other options to display each creation when it was done.
My daughter had so much fun setting her little treat shop up and creating some things based on the templates and others completely on her own.
The set comes with a cute little “ice cream scoop” that has a scoop for scooping up the Beados beads on one end and a little dispenser on the other. This makes it easy to get the beads exactly where you want them (and adds a fun fine-motor element for kids).
My 4 year old was on the low end of the age range for this and, while she could do it just fine, she did need a bit of help to follow the patterns.
To finish each creation off, just spray with water, let it dry for 20 minutes or so and it is ready.
This is such a cute little toy and is a great way to keep kids busy on a cold or rainy day.
