Get Kids Excited About STEM with JIMU Robots

JIMU Robots are such a fun way for kids to learn about building and coding. I love when I can find STEM learning toys that really let my kids jump in there and get creative. JIMU Robots offer so many options for play and are a great way to get kids excited about technology.

My kids all love tech and because I know how much potential it has to help them in the future, I love giving them opportunities to improve their skills. That is why I was so excited to hear about JIMU Robots, a fun way to teach kids ages 8+ about building and coding through play.

I first encountered JIMU last year at the Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas and was really blown away by how maneuverable their robots were.

JIMU Robots really have two parts to them. Kids assemble the robot — and this was challenging enough that it kept my 12-year-old busy for several hours — then you use coding skills to control the robot.

My son used the app to help him figure out how to put the robot together and I loved the way he was using screens to do something that was hands-on.

I really love how creative this allows kids to be. When my son first put it together he was worried because he had a ton of extra pieces. It turns out, they give you a lot of extras because they want to encourage kids to get innovative and build their own creations. Because of that, I’m sure this robotic toy is going to get plenty of playtime. The building fun doesn’t end once you put the robot together for the first time.

This little robot has some real personality. It has so many fun ways that it can be programmed and I was seriously impressed with its dancing skills!

My son had a lot of fun experimenting with what it could do and stretching his coding skills a bit.

I always feel good about getting my kids excited about STEM learning toys. STEM really is fun and I want my kids to see it that way. JIMU Robots got my kids to step away from mindless screentime and get to work creating dynamic (and funny) robots that let them put their coding skills to work.
