Legoland Celebrates the Opening of The Lego Movie World
THE LEGO® MOVIE™ WORLD is now opened at Legoland California and it is the perfect way to celebrate returning to the park. The official opening was May 27, 2021 and it was a festive affair to celebrate the opening of the new area of the theme park, based on The LEGO® Movie™ and The LEGO® Movie™ 2: The Second Part. With 3 fantastic new rides and an amazing vibe families are going to love this latest addition to Legoland CA.
I was given free tickets to attend the grand opening. All opinions are my own.

My family used to live within walking distance of Legoland CA so even my older kids love visiting the park and reliving a bit of their childhood. Legoland CA is am amazing destination for families and is a great choice for your next family vacation.
We’ve loved watching as they’ve expanded the park over the years so we were thrilled to be invited to THE LEGO® MOVIE™ WORLD grand opening on May 27, 2021.

THE LEGO® MOVIE™ WORLD includes 3 new rides: Queen Watevra’s Carousel, Emmet’s Flying Adventure, and Unikitty’s Disco Drop.
Queen Watevra’s Carousel is a revamp of the original carousel and they did a fantastic job making it fit The Lego Movie theme. The carousel was one of my girls’ favorite rides in the old Lego Friends area so they were excited to see it was still around in an updated form.

My girls absolutely loved choosing their favorite horses to ride and the ride changes speed as it goes, which was exciting for them.
Unikitty’s Disco Drop is such a cute ride. My kids have all loved the older Beatle Bounce ride so they were excited for an option that is much more appealing for older kids.

Emmet’s Flying Adventure is the highlight of The Lego Movie World and definitely a more extensive ride than the others. Park visitors get to ride on Emmet’s new triple-decker couch on a flying adventure that incorporates all of their senses.

The ride uses a full-dome virtual screen and really lets you feel like you are flying over Middle Zealand, Cloud Cuckoo Land, Pirates Cove, and the Sistar System.
This was definitely a highlight of our visit.

There’s plenty to do even when you are done riding the new rides. One of the things we love most about Legoland is how many hands-on activities they have all over the park. The Lego Movie World was sure to include plenty of opportunities for kids to jump in and create too with the Build Watevra You Wa’Na Build zone.

Kids can get their wiggles out by climbing and playing on Benny’s Playship. It’s a great place to sit and enjoy a break or grab lunch from one of the fun new restaurants (Cloud Cuckoo Crepes, Benny’s Rocket Fuel and Everything is Ramen).

The Lego Movie World is a fantastic addition to Legoland CA and has something to appeal to kids of all ages. Stop by on your next visit the part and check out all of the new adventures that are waiting for you.
