Live Healthier with Philips
Thank you to Philips for sponsoring this post.
When most people think of the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) they typically think of huge TVs, smart homes and robots, but people are often surprised that there is quite a bit of health innovation at CES as well. There are so many ways that technology can improve our health.

At this year’s CES, Philips Healthcare demonstrated how they are working to improve, not only our sleep and brushing habits but also to help prospective parents better understand what is happening with their growing child.

Philips SmartSleep
If you are like me and most parents, it seems like you never get enough sleep. The SmartSleep suite of solutions has come up with some innovative ways to help you rest better.
Philips has created an innovative Connected Sleep and Wake-up Light which simulates sunsets and sunrises helping you relax at night and awake at the right time in your sleep cycle each morning.

The Deep Sleep Headband 2 uses bone induction technology to provide better sleep by providing relaxing sounds that react to your sleep patterns through the SleepMapper app.

Sonicare DiamondClean Smart
Connected Toothbrush
When we are kids, we are taught to brush our teeth but unless our dentist gives us a hard time (which mine often does), we typically just hope each morning and night that we are getting our teeth clean.
Built-in sensors on the Sonicare DiamondClean Smart Connected Toothbrush create weekly progress reports about your brushing habits and can now send those results to licensed dental professionals who can provide recommendations.

Pregnancy + App
The Philips Pregnancy + app is an innovative app that lets a mom to be track all of the most important pregnancy milestones. It offers valuable advice about the first 1000 days of your baby’s life like how your baby is developing and even what your child may look like. No wonder it is the leading pregnancy app with over 30 million downloads and is available in 23 languages.
Pregnancy + is the only pregnancy app in the world that lets you track multiple babies. I found myself wishing this app had been around when my twins and their sister were younger. This is an amazing resource for new moms.

I’m excited to see all of the innovations in healthcare. So many people are taking charge of their health and having the tools that make that easier is soo essential. Only a few years ago, Googling your symptoms before going into your doctor used to be your only real way to play an active role in your health (and that was frowned upon). Now, you can use technology to provide your doctor with more relevant information about your health. I’ve used technology to share information with my doctors and they have been really receptive to that. It has helped them to have a clearer view of my health and create a better healthcare plan for me.
With all of the healthcare innovation from Philips this year, I’m excited to see what the future holds. I’ll be using several of these products in my own life and I’m sure you’ll be hearing more about them in the future.
