Make Quality Sleep a Priority with the Affordable Hybrid Mattress from SweetNight

With everyone staying home right now, life is a bit interesting. My family is immunocompromised so we have been staying home more than most and trying to make the best of a bad situation. We’ve put a major focus on creating comfortable spaces at home to help everyone feel safer. Just before the world shut down, we started trying out the hybrid Twilight mattress from SweetNight and having a relaxing place to shut down at the end of the day has been so comforting during this time.

Confession time. I had the same mattress for over ten years and didn’t see a point in replacing it.

Then I realized what a huge difference having the right mattress can make and I’ve gone through several mattresses since then.

You spend so much time sleeping (in theory … I’m sill working on that). Being well rested can help you feel better during the day and be better equipped to handle stress … and none of us are stressed right now, are we?

Just before my city went on lockdown, I was sent one of the SweetNight’s hybrid Twilight mattresses. I’ve tried several foam mattresses in the past few years but I’ve been really curious about the newer hybrid mattresses that include both foam and springs.

The Twilight mattress from SweetNight comes in a box, just like the foam mattresses. It did spring out of the box WAY faster than I’ve seen other mattresses do, which was entertaining to watch, and it was definitely convenient to have a mattress shipped right to my door.

SweetNight offers a 30-day return policy (which isn’t quite as long as some other mattress retailers) but they also offer a 10-year warranty so you are covered for any defects or issues that pop up down the road.

This mattress is very budget-friendly so it’s a great option if you’ve been putting off replacing your older mattress but still want some of the quality features you’d find in higher-end mattresses. The king-size mattress comes in both a 10″ and 12″ inch foam option, depending on your budget and comfort preference.

What did I think of the SweetNight Hybrid Mattress?

On first glance, the Sleep Night Twilight mattress has a high quality cover. It’s on the firmer side but the foam top provides some nice pressure relief. I can never quite decide if I like a firm mattress (to help my back issues) or a softer mattress because I’m usually a side sleeper so this was a good compromise between the two.

The foam top still gives you some good motion isolation, which is something I’ve gotten used to having since switching to foam mattresses. I noticed a bit more movement than fully-foam mattresses but on the plus side, I’m able to sit on the side of this bed without it sinking down excessively, which has been one of my complaints with foam mattresses in the past.

The box is VERY heavy. I think this is the heaviest mattress we’ve had delivered due to the springs. We were able to lift it with two people but it isn’t one you’d want to lift by yourself. Be prepared, this mattress does spring open quickly. We unrolled it on our bed, which worked fine, but be prepared and move anything breakable off your nightstands first and step out of the way quickly.

I live in an area that gets really hot in the summer so a mattress that keeps us cool at night is super important. The Sleep Night Twilight mattress stays pretty cool at night. We are just creeping into summer but we haven’t had any complaints about sleeping too hot on this mattress. The gel memory foam stays fairly cool and has some great air-flow so I suspect that will stay cool even as we move into the hottest months of the year.

The mattress is made up of 775 independent pocketed coils so they work to prevent motion transfer. I am such a light sleeper and I didn’t realize what a huge difference this made to me when we moved away from a more traditional mattress. I don’t wake up at night on this mattress, even when my husband and I go to bed at different times.

Overall, this mattress has been a winner and definitely one that I’d recommend if you are on a budget but want a great mattress.
