New Release from André Rieu: “Shall We Dance” Album
I love sharing great music with my kids, and sometimes that means introducing them to something that is a bit different than they would normally listen to. We’ve discovered all kinds of favorite artists as a family doing that and I love that they are widening their musical viewpoint. André Rieu’s new album, “Shall We Dance” was just released on October 6th and my family has been thoroughly enjoying it. We were so excited when André Rieu’s team offered to sponsor this post so we could share this amazing album with you.

If you haven’t heard of André Rieu before, he is a Dutch violinist and conductor famous for creating the Johann Strauss Orchestra. He is known as the father of modern day waltz and is one of the top selling musicians in the world.
His latest album, Shall We Dance, is filled with long-time favorites and is perfect for enjoying as a family.
The CD and DVD from Decca Gold is available at Target with an exclusive version that includes two bonus tracks – “Music of the Night” (from Phantom of the Opera) and “Lara’s Theme” (from Dr. Zhivago). The album can also be purchased at other major retailers.

My absolute favorite song on the album is “A Time For Us” from Romeo & Juliet. I loved this song as a teenager and taught myself to play it on the piano. To this day, when I hear the music it calms me. I’ve been playing André Rieu’s on repeat while I work lately. The violin is so beautifully played in this that I could listen to it all day.
My kids, who have been enjoying the album with me, have loved listening to the Carnival Of Venice Medley because it is so upbeat. My twins start dancing around as soon as it comes on. They were not thrilled when I turned it on and told them they could dance around and clean the house. It was worth a try.
A special 10-part series is airing now on Ovation TV and is a great opportunity to introduce your family to some amazing music.
