This toddler peacock costume would definitely be a conversation starter. You’d get some amazing Halloween photos with these bright colors!
My twins are already OBSESSED with the Baby Shark song, so why not turn them into one with this shark costume for toddlers! I mean, you’d be hearing the song for days but it’s totally worth it.
If you want something a bit more unique, this sloth costume is adorable and if your kids are anything like mine, it might make you feel a bit better about the length of time it takes them to get out the door.
I have a bit of a weakness for dragon costumes because my kids all wore a dragon costume as toddlers that was passed down from my oldest son so it really brings up a lot of memories for me. This toddler dragon costume has such great details in it and is a great price!
This Toddler Fleece Bat Costume looks super comfy and is a great classic choice for Halloween.
I love when I can find Halloween costumes that are a bit more random and this toddler octopus costume is perfect for that. I’ve never really considered dressing my child up as an octopus but this one is just so cute you can’t resist.
The Best Toddler Costumes for Girls
My girls love a mix of things but sometimes they just want things that are SUPER girly. Fantasy costumes are usually a top choice for Halloween around my house but really, anything goes.

My kids want ALL things Unicorn at the moment so this Toddler Unicorn costume is right up their alley.
This Monarch Butterfly Costume is GORGEOUS and includes the headpiece. I’m actually trying to convince my twins to go for this costume this year.
If you live in a warmer area and can get away with Halloween costumes that are on the chilly side, this Springtime Fairy costume is super cute.
This Cutie Pi Nerd Costume is fun and definitely an attention-getter. Of course, if you really want to get people talking, this toddler Grandma Costume is the way to go!

You could always go for a classic look. This Crafty Little Witch Toddler Costume is so sweet and has some great detail work on it.
The Best Toddler Costumes for Boys
Finding a great toddler boy Halloween costume that isn’t the same as every other little boy in the neighborhood can be a challenge. I can’t tell you how many Captain America’s I saw last year. Kids love what they love those and there’s nothing wrong with your child going as their favorite superhero. We went on a search for Halloween costumes for boys that were a bit more unique. I LOVE these options and, honestly, my little girls would wear just about any of these too.

This Toddler Rocket Ship Costume may be a bit tricky to walk in but it is super cute.
We get A LOT of packages around my house so I got a kick out of this Toddler UPS Costume (You can also buy it here if you are comparing prices).
My boys are older now and I’m really regretting missing the chance to dress them up as a gnome while I had the chance. This fuzzy gnome costume is EVERYTHING.
This Mickey Mouse costume has such a classic look to it that I’m willing to overlook that it’s a character costume. Any little boy would look adorable in this. Along those same lines, your child may not actually KNOW who Popeye is, but this Popeye costume for toddlers is super cute.
I love a great knight costume. My second oldest son dressed up as a knight for like 3 years in a row. This classic knight costume has some amazing style and would look fantastic on Halloween.
My mom is British so I love this cute Royal Guard costume for toddlers. I’m sure my toddlers would be easier to get to crack a smile than the real thing.
This Future Fisherman Costume will turn some heads and is perfect if dad or grandpa is a hobby fisherman.
I can’t get over how cute this Wittle Werewolf costume is.
The Best Halloween Costumes for Toddlers Who Don’t Like Costumes
I love an elaborate Halloween costume for toddlers as much as the next person but some toddlers want nothing to do with it. I’ve had kids that want to dress up 365 days a year and others who want to squirm out of their Halloween costume as soon as they put it on. One of my kids has sensory issues and he would panic if we made him wear a Halloween costume. He just couldn’t handle all the funky material and weird fitting headpieces.

If you have kids that just aren’t a fan of Halloween costumes, whether it is due to sensory issues or anything else, this Skeleton Candy Rib-Cage shirt for toddlers is an adorable compromise.
You can’t go wrong with a great jack-o-lantern shirt and this set includes 2 great Halloween sweatshirts that are perfect for trick-or-treating in.
If you want to go for full comfort, one year we bought this pair of My Little Pony Blanket Sleeper Pajamas for my daughter for Halloween. She loved how comfortable she was on Halloween. The full hood makes it look like a real costume but there were no itchy materials or weird things to wear so she loved it. She ended up wearing them as pajamas until the pants on them looked like shorts because she loved them so much.
Along the lines of awsome pajamas that can double as costumes, these “nightmare before naptime” pajamas would be a fabulous choice, especially if trick-or-treating creeps a bit too close to bedtime for your toddler’s witching hour.
Does your toddler love baby dolls? Grab a toddler-sized ERGObaby doll carrier and let her carry around her favorite doll. She can tell everyone that she is dressed up as a mommy.
As a child of the ’80s, I Love This 80’s Workout Girl Costume. It is low key enough to feel like a basic leotard to a toddler but still gives off full costume vibes.
These cute Peek-a-Zoo shirts let your toddler dress up as a variety of cute animals without the hassle of a full costume. I love the Peek-a-Zoo Dinosaur shirt and you can’t go wrong with the Skeleton shirt (with labeled bones).
