A Screen-Free Way to Teach Kids to Code
Thank you to Primo Toys for sponsoring this post.
Coding skills are a fantastic skill, for kids and adults. Because of that, coding education for kids is really taking off and there are a lot of options out there.
My kids started getting into coding and programing a few years ago and love it. My oldest is only 13 and has already surpassed my skills, which is fun to see.
I love seeing them learn new skills. The problem is, I also don’t want my kids in front of a screen all day.
Fortunately, there’s Cubetto.
Created by Primo Toys, Cubetto is the only screen-less programming system, powered by a revolutionary coding language made of colorful blocks that lets children write their first computer programs.
This award winning, Montessori-approved coding toy is designed for children ages 3 and up and would be a fantastic gift to put under the tree this year.
I love the idea of getting kids coding early.
Today’s job market is so competitive that having an edge can really help your kids create the future they want. For my kids, coding has turned into a unique hobby and they know they are learning important skills.
The Cubetto Playset is made up of a friendly wooden robot named Cubetto, a physical programming console, a set of expandable coding blocks, a collection of beautifully illustrated maps and an activity book. Kids can program Cubetto by placing the blocks in patterns on the control panel.
There are blocks to tell Cubetto to go left, right, up or down. The format makes it really easy for younger kids to use, but challenging enough that it will be a toy kids go back to over and over again.
Cubetto combines movement, touch and sound and many special needs parents have found that it’s great for kids with disabilities. This is one of the few toys that is a great fit for non-sighted children too.
Cubetto would be a wonderful holiday gift this year and I have it on my wish-list for my preschooler. It is such a a unique toy and perfect for getting kids to think creatively.

Cubetto is available for purchase on www.primotoys.com for $225, or $245 when bundled with the Cubetto Activity Pack, which offers four additional world maps and matching story books. (Activity Pack priced $65 if sold separately).
