Chocolate Covered 3-Ingredient Toffee
Do you need a quick treat that tastes amazing but only takes a few minutes to throw together? This Chocolate Covered 3-Ingredient Toffee is a family favorite and is the perfect treat to share with friends.

I have to share this with friends whenever I make this because I will eat the entire batch on my own if left to my own devices.
This is so quick to throw together and tastes like it took hours to make so we always throw it on treat plates to share with neighbors.
Another favorite we share during the holidays is these cranberry muffins. The butter sauce on top of these is insane!

Ingredients
- 1 pound of butter (4 sticks)
- 2 cups of sugar
- 1 cup of chocolate chips
3-Ingredient Toffee Preparation
Melt the butter in a pot.
Add the sugar.
Stir constantly until the mixture begins to turn brown. This typically takes about 9-12 minutes.

You can check to see if it is done by dropping a bit into a bowl of ice water. If the cooled drop is crunchy your toffee is done.
Pour the mixture onto a greased or parchment-covered cookie sheet. I prefer parchment because it makes cleanup so easy.

Let the toffee cool for about 5 minutes then sprinkle the top with chocolate chips.
When the chocolate chips have had a few minutes to soften, spread the melted chocolate over the surface of the toffee.

Break into smaller pieces and serve.

I like to cool this in the fridge for a few hours so it will really set up.
This is always a hit when we serve it during the holidays! This is such a fun holiday treat and it is easy enough to make that even the kids can help.
