DIY Twine Ornament Hangers

My holiday decorating took a bit of a back-burner this year. With toddler twins running around, decorating has not been a top priority. Once we found some great ways to toddler-proof our Christmas tree, we were ready to tackle the rest of our holiday decorating. We were the last ones to the party though and by the time I made it to the store to buy ornament hooks they were sold out everywhere. So what was the solution? Make these easy DIY Twine Ornament Holders to get the ornaments on the tree!
DIY Ornament Hanger Instructions
These ornament hangers are so easy to make. We used twine but you could use ribbon, fishing wire, yarn, string, or just about anything else you have lying around.
To make these DIY ornament holders, just cut a piece of twine. Aim for about a 3-4 inch long piece. If it’s too short it can be hard to tie. You can always cut it shorter later.
Feed the end of the twine through your ornament. Tie a square knot at the loop and pull it tight.
That’s it! You have a great way to hang your ornaments and you don’t have to mess with those metal hooks.
The best part of this is you can leave them on for next year and not have to go hunting for a way to hang your ornaments again!
