Family Pizza Night at Chuck E. Cheese’s
Recently I held my two year old son’s second birthday party at Chuck E. Cheese’s. I had gone there for a few parties as a kid and always had good memories. I also wanted to make the party planning process simple and easy for myself.
I hadn’t been in over twenty years so I wasn’t quite sure if my childhood memories would hold up to my adult expectations. I was pleasantly surprised! We loved it so much that both my kids have been asking to go back ever since the party. So, when we were offered the chance by Chuck E. Cheese’s to go again and try a few new menu options I was excited to take my family back.
We went with the classic pepperoni pizza for the kids, and got a salad bar and the more veggie heavy barbecue chicken pizza for the adults. I didn’t expect to have such a fresh salad bar at Chuck E. Cheese’s. Everything we tried was delicious.
I honestly prefer their pizza to any delivery pizza places by me, which make sense because in a national taste test Chuck E. Cheese’s beat pizza hut. I loved the buttery and garlicky crust. A good pizza crust is the most important criteria for good pizza in my book.
They even had gluten free options, and a variety of other specialty pizzas, desserts, and snacks. We plan on going back soon to do the all you can eat buffet for lunch during the week, since my kids can eat a LOT of pizza.
It’s definitely a new favorite family activity of ours to go to Chuck E. Cheese’s. Sometimes it’s hard to find things that young kids and older kids can both do so I appreciated that they had rides for younger kids and shorter arcade games that my young toddlers could reach. The yummy food and more advanced arcade games are enough to keep older kids entertained as well.
So, if you have previously written off Chuck E Cheese’s because of limited food options, I suggest trying their revamped menu and taking your family. It was such a fun place to make memories with my kids, and seeing how much they loved it made my mama heart happy.
