How to Celebrate Mom This Mother’s Day

Mother’s Day is just around the corner and I’m guessing you are scrambling for ideas to help make mom’s day perfect.

I have good news. We moms are not that hard to please. A simple, heartfelt gift goes a lot further than you think.

That being said, it is nice to have a day off.

Every Mother’s Day I ask for one thing: A clean house. 

This is not because I am obsessed with how clean my house is. With 6 kids I can only be so picky. I just want one day that I can spend relaxing, and in order to relax I have to be able to look around my house without seeing dozens of tasks that I need to do.

And let’s be honest, Moms deal with enough messes that we really do deserve a day off.

A clean house takes at least some of those off my list. That gets me back to enjoying the important things in life.

So when looking for a Mother’s Day gift look for something that:

• Makes mom’s life easier
• Makes mom feel appreciated
• Gives mom a chance to relax

If your gift does any of those three things, you have a winner.

If your mom doesn’t live nearby, gift giving can be a bit challenging. My mom is from England and her family is still over there. I know how hard it’s been to get gifts to family members over there in the past. We often sent money because the cost of shipping gifts was just so high. The problem is, sending money abroad can be a bit of a pain. It takes forever and it isn’t always very secure.

I use PayPal all the time to send money so I love that there’s an easy option for sending money out of the country now.
