Pregnancy Guide – Week 14
You are probably just getting to the stage in your pregnancy where your clothes can no longer work with your expanding waist line. For some they gain weight in other areas, besides the belly, while others will start too look they are smuggling a cantaloupe under their shirts. Now is the time to consider your wardrobe for the next several months. It is important to remember that you are going to continue to grow and change shape several times over the next few months and you need to shop accordingly. Look for pieces that will grow with you – with adjustable waistbands, and ties. You want to buy a few staple pieces – a pair of denim, black and khaki pants, and a skirt (something simple that can go with most any style of top like denim, black and/or khaki). You will want a variety of tops to match the season of your pregnancy. It is smartest to buy as you grow for your everyday clothes. However, you will also want to consider what sort of events you have coming up over the duration of your pregnancy – will you be attending a family reunion (as I did in my third pregnancy, and had to wear a certain color to go with my immediate family)? One thing about maternity clothes is that you don’t have the biggest variety available all year round, especially if you don’t live in a bigger city – in fact you
might not even have a store for just maternity clothes at your local mall. In which case you have to rely on what the big box stores (Target, Walmart, Kolh’s, etc.) have in store and what you can get online..
from sites such as Very. So if you are going to be in need of something very specific start looking as soon as you can and guess at a size the best that you can. This is especially important for formal events. If you are going to be a bridesmaid in a very important wedding, you need to plan ahead as well as plan for any changes. As I mentioned you are going to change size and shape over the course of your gestation, and not just in the belly region. You will want to find a style of dress that will be easily altered if need be.
