Shaving Cream Marbled Pumpkins
These shaving cream marbled pumpkins are the perfect activity to do with your kids this fall. With only a few supplies needed, you’ll have the perfect pumpkin craft for kids in no time.
Fall is in full swing! After a very hot summer I have been looking forward to apple cider, pumpkins, and corn mazes in the cooler weather. My kids have been wanting to decorate for fall so I decided to make some pumpkin crafts with them that would work for either halloween or thanksgiving.
I had tried creating marbled paper before with shaving cream so I decided to cut out some pumpkin shapes My daughter had a blast with this! Its a bit messy, but that’s kind of the fun part.
You will need
- shaving cream
- scissors
- tray or cookie sheet
- paint (I bought the cheap craft store acrylic kind that you can squirt out)
- old gift card or similar tool to scrape with
- pointy tool like the end of a comb or toothpick
- durable thick paper
Line your tray with foil or wax paper for easy clean up.
Spread out shaving cream evenly over entire tray. Squirt out paint in small blobs all over the top of the shaving cream. Using your pointy tool, swirl the paint to create designs in the shaving cream.
You can download our template to cut a pumpkin shape out of your paper or you can draw your own. Place the paper on top of the shaving cream and press it in so that one side is fully covered. Slowly peel up the paper and scrape off the excess shaving cream and paint with your scraper.
Let dry and you are all done!
These are so cute hung up as some DIY Halloween or Thanksgiving decorations and kids have so much fun making them.
