Stuffed Hamburger on the Grill
One of the best gifts I ever bought for my husband was his grill. We love to grill at my house . . . and when I say “we” I mean my husband loves being the grill master and I love eating all the yummy stuff he comes up with.
Like I said . . . best present ever.
I was thrilled when Kenmore offered to sponsor this post because it’s a great chance to share a few of our favorite grilling secrets with you. We grill several times a week and you just can’t beat the flavor that you get on the grill.
Kenmore is one of the top brands when it comes to BBQ grills so they are definitely one to check out if you are ready to replace your old grill before summer grilling season. Kenmore grills are well known for great performance so you get great results every time.
They have some great features on their grills (these vary by model), including, rotisserie attachments, side steamers, smokers, and ovens. Some even have a refrigerator in the grill! I’d better not tell my husband about that one or he’ll want to go grill shopping! (edited to add: Too late. He saw it. He wants it. Kenmore community site)
We grill at night a lot . . . mostly because we aren’t very organized these days and we often end up having dinner late. I love that Kenmore grills offer interior lights and exterior LED control panels. We’ve used all kinds of creative lighting options (none of which have lasted very long) to try and make night grilling easier so this sounds awesome!
Right now through July 4th, you can take advantage of some great offers on Kenmore grills at Kenmore.com/grills.
Stuffed Hamburgers on the Grill
There are so many great things you can make on the grill this summer. We grill everything from marinated meats to our favorite fruits and veggies. Have you ever tried grilled peaches? YUM!
This stuffed hamburger recipe is a fun twist on the classic hamburger and because it’s cooked inside the foil it these burgers stay super moist.
You can stuff these burgers with anything you want. My favorite is onions, peppers, and cheese!
Hamburger stuffing options:
- tomatos
- avocado
- spinach
- cheese
- Peppers
- onions
- olives
Combine about a pound of ground beef with chopped onions or onion soup mix. Lay out a large piece of foil and spread your hamburger mixture in a thin layer on top of it. Try and avoid mashing this down too much because it will create a very dense burger. Just lightly work it with your fingers until it is spread out in an even layer.
Top your hamburger with 1-2 toppings. Keep your layer kind of thin. If you top this with too much your burgers won’t hold together well.
Fold your hamburger in half by carefully lifting one side of the foil and rolling it over until the ends meet.
Roll the edges of the foil together to seal them. This keeps a lot of the moisture in and creates a nice, juicy burger.
Lay your foil packet on the grill and cook for 3-4 minutes on each side.
This is kind of like foil dinner with a twist! When you pull it off the grill, let it sit for a minute to soak the juices back in then slice the hamburger into squares.
And there you have it! The perfect stuffed burger on the grill!
