Where to find Face Masks for Kids Online
With so many businesses requiring face masks these days (and it just being a smart thing to do) it’s time to hunt down comfortable masks for the whole family. Finding face masks for kids can be tricky but having a mask that fits your children comfortably can make a huge difference in how likely they are to wear it and whether or not it will stay on their faces. These online retailers sell kid-sized face masks that are perfect for the smallest members of your family.
Face masks are important these days. We don’t know how much protection they offer but with immunocompromised family members, I’ll take any help we can get.
Who should NOT wear face masks?
Before we get into face mask recommendations for kids, it should be noted that the CDC does NOT recommend masks for children under the age of 2 (read more about their recommendations here). Younger. children should not have their breathing restricted in any way.
For younger kids, social distancing is the best way to go. Infants can be protected by keeping them in a covered infant seat but toddlers may be more challenging.
Where to buy Face Masks for Kids
Face masks can be difficult to find these days. If you sew, your best bet may be to make your own so you can customize the measurements. This tutorial has some great tips for making child-sized face masks.
I do not sew …. at all, so making our own masks is not an option. Fortunately there are quite a few retailers who are selling child-size face masks as well as some super talented people on Etsy who are creating some great child-sized face masks.

Old Navy Variety 5-Pack of Triple-Layer Cloth Face Masks for Kids
Old Navy has some fantastic patterned face masks for kids as well as plenty of solid colors. Their masks have 3 layers of cloth and look very comfortable for kids to wear. These are some of the most affordable masks I have seen with a 5-pack selling for only $12.50.
PRETTIFOX Animal Friends Kids face mask
These animal friends face masks from PRETTIFOX are absolutely adorable and come in a great variety of colors. You can support a small business with this purchase and they have very fast shipping.
Disney Face Masks for Kids
Disney is always a hit at my house. Their face masks are currently on pre-order but they come in several sizes so you can find something to fit kids of all ages. These are a simple fabric covering and do not appear to include a pocket for filters but may be a good choice for kids who are more likely to wear masks with their favorite characters.
Onzie Mindful Masks for Kids
Onzie face mask for kids are made in Los Angeles, CA from up-cycled fabric used in their yoga clothing line. The fabric is stretchy and breathable. These can be used on their own or as a cover for an N95 mask.
The Purple Face Mask
Purple, the popular mattress retailer, is now creating face masks for kids. These feature triple-layered breathable fabric and use Comfort Gel Bands. They are machine-washable and come in a 2-pack for only $20.
Swim Spot LASER CUT FACE MASK 6 PACK
Swim Spot is creating toddler and preteen sized face masks for kids. These laser cut face masks are all one piece and made from swimsuit material. I suspect these won't give you a tight-fitting mask but they can be worn as covers over medical-grade masks or used for children who have anxiety over wearing a tighter-fitting mask.
