How CoSchedule Absolutely Supercharged My Blogging

As a blogger, there are pretty much always more tasks to do than I have time to finish. There is always something more that I could be doing. I’ve learned that I have to be smart about my time and take advantage of tools that simplify tasks as often as I can. One of the biggest time-savers I have found is CoSchedule. CoSchedule is a social media scheduler and planner that fills the same job I used to hire out to a virtual assistant. CoSchedule is saving me time and making me money and I’ll never go back!
As a full-time blogger, time management is a huge issue. There are always more things that I could (and probably should) be doing. But I just can’t do everything on my own.
I’m a mom of 6 so even though my blog needs me, my kids need me more. I’m a big fan of automating tasks whenever possible. That being said, I’m very picky about the way that I do it.
I’ve tried nearly every social media scheduling tool out there and the one that is saving me the most time and allowing me to connect with my audience in the most authentic way is CoSchedule.
What does CoSchedule do?
The better question is what doesn’t CoSchedule to?
CoSchedule is a social media scheduling tool that automates and allows you to plan your content. There is so much built into this app that you won’t know how you managed to function without it.
CoSchedule allows you to organize All Your Blog, Social, Email Promotion in ONE Place. It is a complete workflow system.
When looking for a new social media scheduling tool, I knew that I wanted something that allowed me to automate sharing my evergreen posts while still letting me control when and how often they went out. I wanted my social channels to look exactly the same way they would if I was scheduling posts manually.
CoSchedule lets me create a checklist list for each new post (either on the website or using the plugin directly in Wordpress). I love having the option to work through the checklist directly in my blog post. This shows up just below my content so I can keep myself on track.
I can schedule my social shares directly from my blog post too. I like to taper out shares so that my audience has a chance to see every new post that goes live. I typically take a few shares live the first day and then schedule out shares for the following days, weeks, and months.
The Requeue option lets me automate my future scheduling. I have an evergreen group that I can pop content in that will always be relevant. Adding a post to that group lets me set a post to rotate through my queue indefinitely. I can set a sending limit if I’d like and set a weekly limit for the entire requeue group.
I genuinely used to hire a virtual assistant to do the same job that CoSchedule now does for me. It is way more cost effective for me to use CoSchedule AND I get to maintain control.
Why should you be sharing old posts with CoSchedule?
Sharing old posts on an ongoing basis is a great way to increase your blog traffic and affiliate income. It was something that I used to do manually. Every season I’d take the time to go through my old posts and share a few each day.
Not only was that hugely time-consuming but it took time away from content creation, which negatively affected the experience for my readers.
Automating sharing old posts is a no-brainer … but some social media scheduling tools become a bit spammy when they pop the same post up over and over again in your social channels. I love the way CoSchedule lets me automate sharing while still looking like I am sharing manually!

Thanks for the fabulous review, Rachel! Happy to hear you’re making good use of ReQueue. It’s an incredibly powerful time-saving tool. // Janelle from CoSchedule
