Easy Raspberry Bread Pudding
Bread pudding always looks impressive but this easy raspberry bread pudding is so easy to make. This dessert recipe is a great one to have kids jump in and help with too! Bread pudding is fabulous as a simple dessert or a decadent addition to brunch.

If you’ve never had bread pudding before, you are in for a treat. This is traditionally a poor man’s dessert but there are so many ways to switch up the ingredients and make this amazing that it always feels like a splurge to me. My mom is British, so I would probably get in trouble for suggesting this … but we eat this for breakfast all the time. It’s basically like dressed-up french toast.
No matter when you choose to enjoy bread pudding, it is always delicious.

I love to get my kids cooking whenever I can (mostly so they’ll learn how to cook well enough that they can eventually start cooking for me but I digress …).
This recipe is a great one to have kids make because it is so simple and tearing the bread up by hand is such an easy task to delegate to kids of any age. My kids also love making these homemade donuts if you are looking for another fun recipe that works for dessert or brunch.
Raspberry Bread Pudding Recipe

- 3 cups milk
- 4 Tbsp. butter
- 1 Tbsp. vanilla
- 1/5 cup sugar
- pinch of salt
- 1 loaf of bread, torn into 2-inch pieces
- 5 eggs
- 1 cup of fresh raspberries
Preheat the oven to 350 degrees. Combine the milk, butter, vanilla, sugar, and salt in a small saucepan and cook over low heat, stirring constantly. Once the butter melts, remove the milk mixture from the heat and let it cool. Butter a 9×13 inch baking dish (this baking dish is a great one to use). Tear the bread into 2-inch pieces and add the bread to the baking dish. Gently fold the raspberries into the torn bread.

Beat the eggs well then add to the cooled milk mixture. Whisk together. Pour the milk mixture over the bread. Bake for 1 hour, or until cooked through. This will be a bit soft when it comes out of the oven but will set up more as it cools.
