How to Make Money Selling LipSense (and a GIVEAWAY!)

When you think of direct sales, your first reaction may be, “nope, nope nope!”.

I get it. For a long time, that was my reaction too. I’d been turned off by too many pushy sales pitches and friends I hadn’t talked to in 15 years contacting me just to “catch up” and “oh do you want to buy my products”.

The reality is though, there are so many moms making a GOOD living in direct sales and it is very possible to sell without being obnoxious. One of the fastest growing and most profitable direct sales companies out there right now is SeneGence, the parent company of LipSense.

After seeing so many of my close friends be very successful in direct sales (many as the sole providers in their family), I got curious. I’m passionate about finding ways for moms to work from home in jobs that allow them the flexibility they need to be there for their family. Because I’m asked all the time to help moms find a job that works for them, I’m always looking to try new things.

That’s why, when I saw a friend really blowing things out of the water with her direct sales business, I wanted to know more. It turns out, she was selling LipSense and because the company is growing so quickly right now, her success wasn’t an isolated incidence.

Have you heard of LipSense?

LipSense is lipstick that is completely smudgeproof, kissproof, and waterproof. I was skeptical, but once I tried it I was hooked. My sister convinced me to try hers in December. I’m not generally a lipstick person. I like my beauty routine to be low-maintenance and I don’t want to have to think about it the rest of the day.

With my old lipstick, I’d put it on and before I finished eating breakfast my lipstick would be on my water glass and not on my lips. I’ve actually ruined several shirts because bright lipstick wiped off on the fabric. I was over it.

LipSense was different though. With LipSense, you could put on any color you wanted, no matter how bright, and it wasn’t going anywhere. I really didn’t believe it the first time but once it is on, it stays there. My color is usually still on the next morning if I don’t take it off at night.

I love lipstick but I hated wearing it. Because of that, I always wore lipstick on special occasions, but on a day-to-day basis it irritated me. It seemed like as soon as I put it on it would start wearing off . . . on my water glass, my kids faces, my clothes (I’ve ruined one too many white shirts with dark lipstick).

LipSense molecularly bonds with your lips so that once it is on your lips, it stays there. You seal it with a super moisturizing gloss.

It’s awesome. And so many women are realizing that, which is why the company is growing so quickly.

I would think it was just a marketing ploy except for the fact that I’m just over 2 months in and already hit $4000 in sales my first full month and have built  a growing team of 9.

Update: I’m almost at the end of my first year now and my commission check covers my mortgage each month now. That’s on top of sales profits!

Jalynn’s LipSense Story

Jalynn is my direct upline and the one who convinced me to give direct sales a chance. I knew Jalynn through Instagram so I’d been following her and watching her story unfold as she began selling LipSense and her business really began to take off.

I have to confess, I used to see a direct sales post on Instagram and instantly unfollow that person. I just didn’t want to go there.

Jalynn’s posts were different. She never tried to sell me. She just shared her successes so I watched as she earned a car from SeneGence and then trip after trip to fantastic places. I have always loved supporting work at home moms so I loved seeing her succeed. When she posted in January that her monthly commission check was going to be five figures, I really got curious.

Here’s Jalynn’s story in her own words:

My name is Jalynn and I am live in Utah with my hubby, baby and puppy. I have lived here pretty much my whole life with the exception of Arkansas for a semester. ? I played volleyball in college and graduated in communication. I love fashion and makeup and that is a huge reason I am here!!

When I finally got my hands on LipSense for the first time I FELL IN LOVE!!!! My baby was 3 months old and I wanted to kiss her all day, so I had to stop using lipstick until I found LipSense!! ???? I couldn’t stop thinking about the product and even more, the opportunity! One of my uplines had earned a car in TWO months and that alone made me see the potential (not including their crazy paychecks) so I went for it!!!!

Fast forward almost 9 months and here I am!! I now have almost 4000 girls on my team, and this month my paycheck will be SIX FIGURES. ??? I don’t share this to brag, but where else can you find the opportunity to change your families life so quickly and SOOOO MUCH?! This company is in the explosion phase and those hopping on board NOW are going to change their lives.

This company has changed my life more than I can ever describe. The money is great and has blessed my family, but the best part is how I have changed, the friends I have made, and the happiness this has brought. I LOVE being a mom but this gives me a purpose and brings me happiness and fulfillment in a different way. 8 months ago I would have NEVER gotten up in front of even one person to do a training, and I just trained over 500 women in one room!!! Yes I wanted to pee my pants, but I did it!!!

I know God put me in this biz for a reason and I’m so grateful to be here. I was so beyond excited and freaked out when my check was $2k, so you can imagine me now. I just cry and cry and can’t believe this is happening to little ole me. This is CRAZY!!!!! It goes to show that anything is possible. I know several people who could use even $300 a month which is more than possible with SeneGence!!! ❤

 

Why can you make so much money selling LipSense

LipSense is not new. SeneGence, the parent company has been around for about ten years. What’s interesting though, is it has only really taken off in the last few years as younger women began selling it and using social media to get the word out. Since then, it has taken off. This past January the company did more sales than the previous three years COMBINED. That’s insane.

That’s always why it’s an amazing time to jump on board. There are still relatively few distributors throughout the country. Some states are almost untouched.

Check out the map below to see how many states are wide open. I’m in Utah, where LipSense is pretty common and I’ve still had an unbelievable amount of sales in my first few months so I can only imagine how amazing it would be to launch in one of the states that is almost untouched.

How do you make money with LipSense

I’m not a direct sales fan. What hooked me is the fact that LipSense is kind of a hybrid between a wholesale account and a direct sales company. What this means, is you have two ways to make money.

First, you can earn money from sales. You are able to buy the product at up to a 50% discount (which is a phenomenal deal, even for wholesale) and sell it for retail price. So I get a tube of LipSense for $12.50 and sell it for $25. There’s an instant $12.50 in profit!

Sales alone can be very profitable. I’m not a salesperson but LipSense sells itself. Even without doing in-person events I brought in $4,000 in sales revenue my first full month! That’s $2,000 in profit. I mainly sold through my Facebook group and local people I connected with on Facebook. I didn’t harass my friends, place cold calls, or put in long hours. I just educated and shared my experience with the product.

It doesn’t stop with sales though.

You can earn money from building a team. SeneGence pays 10% commission off anything your first line sells (plus residual income on all lower lines at a lower percentage), which is unheard of in direct sales. I didn’t start building a team right away but once I did, it grew fast. I just got my first commission check last month. It was $250 and I’ll double that this month. It’s a small start to something I see snowballing fast.

Many women I’ve talked to on our team have been doing this for less than 6 months and earning between $5,000 and $100,000 A MONTH. It’s incredible how much money there is in selling lipstick and building a team.
