5-Layer dip has always been my go-to when hosting a party. This recipe can get a bit unappetizing after several people have scooped out servings. You can solve that problem by creating mini 5 layer dip servings in clear plastic cups. That makes it the perfect quick party food and it is so easy for your guests to grab a serving.

Mexican 5 Layer Bean Dip Ingredients
- 1 can refried beans
- 1 can green chilies
- 1 cup sour cream
- 1 Tbsp taco seasoning
- 1 cup guacamole
- 1/2 cup salsa
- 1 cup shredded cheese
- Optional toppings: olives, cilantro, tomatoes, cotija cheese, green onions
- Optional: Sprinkle with Tajin Chili Lime Seasoning
Mexican Bean Dip Instructions
Layer One: Heat the refried beans slightly to make them easier to spread. I put them in the microwave for about 20 seconds. Combine the heated refried beans and the green chilies. Spread an even layer in the bottom of a serving dish.
Layer Two: Top the refried bean mixture with a layer of guacamole.
Layer Three: Combine the sour cream and taco seasoning. Spread on top of the guacamole layer.
Layer Four: Spread a light layer of salsa on top, any variety. We love using this green salsa in this Mexican dip.
Layer Five: Sprinkle the shredded cheese in an even layer over the top.
Optional Toppings: Sprinkle on any toppings you’d like to add and serve!
